Major duties

Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checks work in progress and upon completion for quality, adherence to instructions and to ensure objectives are met. Provides technical analysis, review, and recommendations related to development and execution of project management plans. Through the analysis of business processes, the incumbent analyzes data requirements for the enhancement of automated financial management systems. Prepares System Change Requests and develops documentation required for configuration control board/configuration management information system overview. Oversees the testing of system changes and monitors the implementation of enhancements or new products.

Qualification

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: serving as a senior technical advisor while performing in depth financial systems analysis, design, development, testing and support of an automated system; OR ensuring that system design, revisions and modifications comply with standard finance and accounting practices; OR developing test plans and evaluation plans for systems; OR evaluating test results and takes appropriate corrective action. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service. ** The effective date of your SF-50 must reflect that you will meet the 52-week time in grade requirement within 30 days of the announcement closing. ** You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
