JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC is looking for a System Administrator to join the Fleet Support Team in support of the Comprehensive Automated Maintenance Environment – Optimized (CAMEO) Software for the V-22 Community across the Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps out of Miramar, California.

The System Administrator will be expected to gain a working knowledge of the CAMEO suite and associated processes to provide troubleshooting assistance, develop documentation, and assist in various upgrades to the software and new implementations, to include our WiFi initiative. Experience operating within a military aviation maintenance environment and having procedural knowledge is valued. The candidate is expected to possess strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to grow with ever changing Fleet needs in support of the maintenance and future sustainment of CAMEO.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Act as a liaison with CAMEO support groups (i.e. NAVAIR, Bell, Boeing, etc.) on technical issues with PEMA and server equipment. Assist the Fleet Support Team, Rolls Royce, and Bell/Boeing representatives with flight data verification and retrieval.
  • Coordinate all necessary repairs, replacement, refresh, configuration, inventory, software installation, and account management.
  • Coordinate with the CAMEO Training Lead(s) to ensure the squadron(s) is properly trained and be able to answer technical questions. Assist in further development of CAMEO training to ensure its accuracy and that the training meets the needs of the customer.
  • Provide deployment and detachment support and training and coordinate with squadron(s) to ensure the CAMEO environment is properly configured and maintained. Assist the squadron(s) upon return to ensure proper configuration and associated data is synced in accordance with current CAMEO documentation.
  • Coordinate with the CAMEO Fleet Support Lead for CAMEO updates and participate in all roll out planning pertinent to the CSA site, including coordinating with base facilities and network security groups.
  • Stay current on the latest CAMEO environment changes and attend CAMEO training and/or testing when new capabilities are released, or new processes are being utilized.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related field and two (2) or more years of experience in System Administration; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Current Security+ Certification or IAT Level II qualifications.
  • Knowledge and experience administering Windows OS to include Server 2016/2022, Windows 11 OS and performing software updates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to work on multiple web platforms.
  • Recent experience working on government funded programs.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Active Secret Clearance.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • S-6/ALIMS and CAMEO knowledge.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
