SAIC is seeking a System Administrator to support the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDEVCOM), Engineering and Systems Integration (ESI) Directorate, Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) Branch.

This position is on-site in Aberdeen, MD.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Support major intelligence systems as well as several minor projects.
  • Provide direct support to system integration activities at APG as well as providing remote support to fielded equipment.
  • Perform specific software integration tasks and input to planning, schedule, design, and reporting monthly on smaller programs.
  • Perform infrastructure support on three separate enclaves at various classification levels, which consist of resources to virtualize project baselines, tools to automate software builds and configurations, and the interfaces from which they manage all the projects.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years’ experience. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • The candidate must have a blend of technical skills (operating systems, networking, security, etc.) and soft skills (problem solving, communication, etc.) to manage and maintain computer systems and networks effectively.
  • A strong understanding of various operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and macOS.
  • Expertise in networking concepts, protocols, and technologies like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with database systems and their administration.
  • Knowledge of security principles, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages to automate tasks and manage systems efficiently is highly valued.
  • Understanding and experience with virtualization technologies are increasingly important.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, push and carry up to 30 pounds, unassisted on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders/equipment, and crawl for extended periods.
  • May be asked to work outdoors in all-weather conditions.
  • Must be able to move and arrange heavy supplies and equipment.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI with CI Poly.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
