The Boeing Company’s Talent Analytics team is looking for a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect with expertise in DevSecOps, DataOps, and MLOps to join our team in North Charleston, SC, Seattle, WA, or Berkeley, MO.

This position will design, build, and operationalize analytic solutions that address workforce and Human Resources (HR) challenges, delivering measurable business impact. In this role, you will partner closely with HR leaders, HR Information Systems (HRIS)/Information Technology (IT), data engineering, and analytics teams. Together, you will build cloud solutions, deploy data pipelines using Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD) tools, implement DevOps practices, automate systems, and develop interpretable models—including Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Model (LLM)-based solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead automation initiatives for modern data pipelines, workflows, applications, ML model release, build/testing, and other tools to accelerate product development and achieve First Time Quality

  • Develop and productionize features and models in collaboration with data engineers and data scientists by implementing reproducible data pipelines, model training pipelines, CI/CD, containerization, and deployment patterns

  • Ensure robust alerting, monitoring, and observability for cloud solutions, Application Programming Interface (API) management, pipelines, and model drift detection

  • Design, build, and operationalize Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Model (LLM), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) platforms and pipelines for HR use cases in production environments

  • Build scalable systems that meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) / Service Level Objective (SLO) requirements, enable quick recovery from failures, maintain data quality, and ensure compliance

  • Mentor junior developers, review code and model artifacts, and raise team standards for reproducibility, documentation, and governance

  • Ensure models and deployments comply with governance, privacy, and ethical standards by collaborating with HR Data Steward, Legal/Privacy, and Ethics/Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance teams

  • Translate complex analyses into concise recommendations for HR leaders and executives

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 10+ years of experience in full stack development

  • 10+ years of programming experience

  • 5+ years of experience in developing or deploying analytical models, forecasts, or automations

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) hardware and software integration

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies, including the ability to integrate AI-driven insights into data architecture and analytics processes

  • Experience in handling data and systems involving machine learning/predictive analytics

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience creating and analyzing data and metrics through the use of Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS), PeopleSoft, Taleo, etc., and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Experience in building, implementing, and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using major cloud providers (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP))

  • Experience in production-grade Python coding (modular design, testing, packaging), version control (Git), and collaboration with Development Operations (DevOps) / Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows, Application Programming Interface (API) management, and containerization

  • Experience with data engineering and infrastructure, including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), feature engineering, data warehouses/lakes, and modern cloud platforms (experience with Apache Spark, data build tool (dbt), Apache Airflow, or equivalents is desirable)

  • Experience with machine learning and generative artificial intelligence (AI) systems and tooling, including model registries and lifecycle tools (MLflow, Terraform, or equivalents); experience developing Large Language Models (LLMs) and maintaining Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems with vector databases and embedding pipelines

  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) skills, Python and Extract, Transform, Load / Extract, Load, Transform (ETL/ELT) tools for batch and real-time processing

  • Experience with privacy and security techniques such as de-identification, synthetic data generation, and access control for sensitive HR data

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $172,550 - $249,550
