BDS Engineering is seeking a Senior Business Integrator/Chief of Staff supporting the Vice President of BDS Engineering Capabilities in El Segundo, CA. This role will have primary responsibility to support the leadership team's long-range strategies, operations and deliverables, and initiatives.  Additionally, the role will ensure clear communication across the organization and out to customers and stakeholders, while also integrating with BDS divisions, programs, and functions to help accomplish business goals. This role will model the culture of Boeing as responsive and lean, while being deeply committed to the customer and compliance. Position can be located in any of the following BDS locations: El Segundo, CA; Huntington Beach, CA; Huntsville, AL; Ridley Park, PA; Everett, WA; Tukwila, WA.

The role acquires resources for organizational activities, leads process improvements, aligns and integrates management system architecture across programs and business units, and champions change, being intentional in communicating a services-first approach.  

To be successful in this position, the selected candidate must have business acumen, a customer-first mindset, communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including executives, have exceptional organizational skills, and a positive and flexible attitude. Occasional travel may also be required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages business operations for VP and program leadership team to ensure the function runs efficiently and effectively

  • Works closely with the functional VP to enable outcomes in the areas of planning, execution, communication and operations of the organization

  • Anticipates the needs of the VP for scheduled events, presentations, discussions, and recurring processes; researches, prepares, socializes, and reviews materials as appropriate to the event

  • Manage schedule autonomously to support the needs of the VP for scheduled events, presentations, discussions, and recurring processes; researches, prepares, socializes, and reviews materials as appropriate to the event

  • Fields and completes emergent actions from the VP and other priority sources

  • Prepares and coordinates key internal and external meetings to ensure that meetings are running efficiently and to ensure that meeting actions are tracked through to completion

  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies

  • Coordinates across the BDS Engineering leadership team through strategic project management and supports operational efficiency of the organization

  • Identifies internal challenges and opportunities for leadership team awareness

  • Leads special projects and ensures coordination, implementation, and execution are successful on behalf of leadership

  • Support in the development and execution of strategy, communications, and operating rhythm for the team

  • Identifies risk and opportunities, develops mitigation planning

  • Leads the analysis, execution, and continuous improvement of the management system

  • Fosters effective working relationships with BDS Engineering leadership, functional partners, customer counterparts and is embedded into the business

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final Secret Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications: (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Experience being flexible with working with geographical distributed team

  • Experience in a role that required strong problem solving skills and analytical skills

  • Experience developing presentation materials suitable for executive level management

  • 10+ years’ experience leading team in a formal and/or informal role

  • 10+ years’ experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners

  • 5+ years’ experience working in ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment in support of multiple organizations

  • Experience, and at least considered an intermediate user, with office tools such Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • ​Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 10+ years’ experience leading and supporting the development and integration of business plans, strategies, and processes to meet business goals  

  • 5+ years of experience working across organizations and cross-functional groups to ensure project coordination, implementation and completion

  • Experience developing and / or reporting metrics & KPIs

  • Strong presentation skills and the capability to effectively communicate data in Senior Leadership briefings

  • Ability to manage complex topics

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range (level M):  $178,500 - $258,750 (Which could be AL,CA, PA, or WA location)
