The Boeing Company is seeking a Regional Business Manager to join the Law Department within the Law and Global Compliance (L&GC) organization based in our headquarters in Arlington, VA (Long Bridge).

This position will lead and manage approximately 25-30 support staff members in various U.S. locations as well as the daily administration and office management of the Arlington, VA and Charleston, SC locations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates closely with attorney-managers, Global Staffing focals, and staff responsible for recruiting, hiring, and onboarding
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics, including office assignments, technology provisions, parking, furniture, and other related needs
  • Addresses workload issues, backup staffing, expected levels of support, employee morale, training and development, office standards, schedules, and customer satisfaction
  • Coaches, counsels, mentors, and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities
  • Provides on-going developmental feedback to employees
  • Recognizes contributions of individuals and teams to improve employee satisfaction and retain a skilled and motivated workforce
  • Works closely with attorneys to manage support staff performance, including establishing goals, gathering performance feedback, rating performance, conducting performance and salary reviews, and addressing performance problems, including administering corrective action, up to and including termination
  • Works with Law Department Business Management and Operations to determine and communicate policies and procedures and further cross-regional cooperation and strategic initiatives
  • Oversee facilities operations, including managing space needs and coordinating with facilities focals
  • Lead the planning and execution of office events and employee engagement activities
  • Occasional domestic travel may be required

A successful candidate possesses the following:

The position is hybrid. The expectation is a minimum of 3 days per week on-site in the Arlington, VA, location but may be more based on on-site needs, and management discretion. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives
  • 5+ years of experience managing 15 or more direct reports

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience managing 15 or more direct reports
  • Experience using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery
  • Experience managing direct reports in multiple locations
  • Experience managing multiple locations
  • Experience managing conflicts of direct reports
  • Experience in a law firm or in-house counsel environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $141,100 - $190,900
