Join a winning team!  SAIC’s Air Force, Space, and Intelligence (AFS&I) Business Group is currently hiring for a customer within the Intelligence Community (IC) in Chantilly, VA. This customer is responsible for designing, building, and operating national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground. AFS&I has an opening for a Protection Project Management lead to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) services to an IC customer. The customer organization we support provides geospatial intelligence solutions that determine the current and future national space systems. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Work across multiple Directorates and Offices to identify and define future resiliency and advanced protection capabilities

  • Frequent interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, external stakeholders, and development contractors

  • Lead multi-organization level events at various security levels

  • Analyze and execute development of emerging technical solutions in support of high value asset protection including indications and warning, resiliency, defense, and cyber protection

  • Identify key architecture and system level trades

  • Develop Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for new capabilities and coordinate them across the affected organizations

  • Develop enterprise, system, and performance requirements 

  • Develop enterprise and project-level schedules to communicate acquisition plans and support funding requests

  • Prepare briefings for senior decision makers

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline with at least 10 years of relevant experience

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph

  • Ability to provide technical and programmatic direction on the development, integration, and use of model-based engineering and model-based systems engineering models

  • Proven ability to work with information at various security and protection levels

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams requiring collaboration, open communication, and willingness to work in a pair-programming style collaborative work environment

  • Experience with IC Customer enterprise and space acquisition offices procurement & acquisition processes

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities

  • Desired Qualifications

     

  • Advanced degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline

  • Experience with resiliency and advanced protection activities

  • Prior US military and/or IC customer experience
