SAIC is seeking a CAD Design Engineer in San Diego, CA.

  • Build IRD and IDP’s per NAVWAR standards.
  • Incorporate site redlines and create As-Built packages from install notes.
  • Create system drawing packages from written inputs and diagrams from engineering and ISEA teams.
  • Create network diagrams with serial and IP connections.
  • Use integrated Excel-AutoCAD connections to manage technical data in CAD packages.
  • Work with the engineering team to create schedules and prioritize drafting efforts.
  • Review other drafting efforts for review before delivery.
  • Complete site surveys required to create technical packages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years or more experience or Master's degree and zero (0) years or more experience; years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • AutoCAD proficiently required.
  • Experience in C4I System environments.
  • Understanding of RF and Serial cable standards preferred (RS232, SCADA, RF Timing).
  • Experience with NAVWAR/SPAWAR Drafting standards.
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance to start and then must be able to obtain a Top-Secret clearance. Top Secret preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Passport.
  • Up to 10% CONUS/OCONUS travel required.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
