The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Engineer to support Airplane Maintenance Engineering in Seal Beach, California.

Position Overview:

The selected candidate will analyze complex engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance/repair requirements, procedures, and instructions; support activities that influence product designs and processes to ensure supportability and maintainability; create systems theory descriptions to ensure common understanding of systems and components; and conduct engineering analysis to verify the accuracy of maintenance/repair data. They will also develop and provide technical solutions to customers; evaluate customers' maintenance operations; guide the development of procedures and techniques to allow users to maintain and repair products; and author and guide changes in various airplane maintenance documents. This person will be assigned to the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and/or Fault Isolation Manual (FIM).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Non-recurring and sustaining development, validation, and delivery of technical Airplane.

  • Maintenance data, Fault Isolation data, and Integrated Planning to maintain the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and FAA/Foreign Regulatory requirements.

  • Analyzes complex engineering designs, supplier data, and engine manufacturer design data to determine and develop maintenance, repair, and tooling supportability requirements and methods for configured procedures and instructions.

  • Influences product designs and processes to ensure safety, supportability, and maintainability.

  • Develops and uses fault isolation procedures and techniques.

  • Creates systems theory descriptions to ensure common understanding of systems and components.

  • Conducts engineering analysis to verify the accuracy of maintenance/repair data.

  • Interfaces with customers to support customer inquiries and develops technical solutions for customers.

  • Evaluates customers' maintenance operations.

  • Develops new procedures and techniques to allow users to maintain and repair products.

  • Participates in organizational activities that influence the Aerospace Industry.

  • Must be willing to occasionally work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as business needs require.

Travel Requirement:

Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time domestically.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Seal Beach, California location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).

  • Must be willing to occasionally work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as business needs require.

  • 3+ years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Operations.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current or prior Airframe and Powerplant License issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.

  • Prior military aircraft maintenance practices.

  • 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Summary Pay Range:

$111,350 - $150,650
