Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Associate orExperienced Quality Production Specialist – Investigations to join the Delivery Center Quality team in North Charleston, SC on 1st shift.

The primary focus of this role will be investigating, containing, and obtaining comprehensive Root Cause and Corrective Action of defective manufacturing and quality product defects related to 787 program. In this role one will be expected to collaborate and communicate with internal and external partners, track and respond to supplier communication, and support Program Boeing Production System (BPS) structure.

Primary Responsibilities:   

  • Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.

  • Responsible for interviewing, collaborating with, and assigning corrective actions to colleagues across the 787 program.

  • Utilizes several Information Systems, Velocity, REDARS, CMES and etc. to review historical data and drawings.

  • Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to determine the cause and prevent reoccurrence.

  • Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution.

  • Compiles and presents findings into presentations for peers, quality liaison, and senior leaders.

  • Communicates with internal business partners to share findings.

  • Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 1+ year of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventative Action, Root Cause Corrective Actions.

  • 1+ year of aerospace or manufacturing experience.

  • 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

  • 1+ year of experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data.

  • 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

  • Experience working with compliance process and/or controls

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Associate Degree or higher.

  • 3+ years of experience in conducting audits or investigations.

  • 787 Program Experience.

  • Experience working with CMES, Velocity, REDARS, PSDS, IVT

  • Experience in a team environment.

  • Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience.

  • Experience using data and analysis for decision making, problem solving and communication

Summary pay range for Level 2: $71,400 - $96,800

Summary pay range for Level 3: $89,250 - $120,750

Summary pay range for Level 4: $111,350 - $150,650
