About the position: This is a Flexible (Intermittent) category position located at the Stukeley Inn, 423d Force Support Squadron, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. There are no guaranteed hours, and the incumbent may be required to work 0-40 hours per week, as needed. This position requires the ability to stand, stoop, bend, and walk for long periods of time.

Major duties

1. Secures linen, glassware and silverware, depending on the particular format (menu, food and beverages). Readies groups of tables for food and beverages, making sure that dishes, glasses and silverware meet cleanliness standards, and that linens are spotless and condiment containers are filled. 2. Follows specific instructions and rigid time schedules, collects food orders from the kitchen and carries beverages from bar to serve customers. Refills food and beverage containers and performs emergency cleanup services. Answers simple questions concerning menu items and food served. 3.Cleans and prepares tables for further use. Performs other related cleaning duties as time permits including the preparation area, kitchen and dining room. May perform incidental dishwashing and other tasks. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The incumbent must be able to follow simple oral instructions, prepare checks for patrons, communicate effectively with customers, and possess skill in dealing with the public.
