Job summary

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. You will serve as the USN Combat Control System New Construction Lead in the Combat Systems Requirements and Analysis Branch of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI.

Major duties

You will engage in various planning activities to ensure development, and integration/implementation with respect to technical and schedule impacts. You will work with team members in identifying technical risks, project risks and associated mitigation plans. You will engage in efforts for cost, schedules and technical aspects. You will mentor team members in developing project risks and associated mitigation plans. You will coordinate cross-organization tasking and efforts for new construction processes. You will prepare project task statements in support of the project leads for both the Virginia and CLB Class programs. You will coordinate with other organizations for scheduling of events, troubleshooting, testing and integration activities.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalency) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing engineering technical work involving development, test & evaluation, integration, or troubleshooting of submarine combat control systems.
