Major duties
Serving as the DLA Troop Support Director of the Process Compliance Directorate, directing/supervising the work of the Audit Readiness and Continuous Process Improvement subordinate divisions. Managing and providing oversight and maintenance of the DLA Troop Support Financial Officer's Certification of auditability. Maintaining the currency of the associated Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) assertion requirements as well as all associated business processes, rules, policies and practices. Overseeing, managing, and periodically testing DLA Troop Support's Supply Chain Management Control Program in accordance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and DLA guidance. Managing the DLA Troop Support central office for coordinating responses to Inspector General Audits, and overseeing any necessary corrective actions. Administering the application of critical analytical principles/techniques, monitoring and evaluating trends, systems, and administrative operations, and developing broad policies and procedures affecting management controls/practices. Providing substantial analysis and comprehensive technical advice on a variety of business process related issues.
Qualification
To qualify for a Supervisory Process Compliance Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Supervising a variety of subordinate personnel and assisting with managing a broad scope of programs. Recommending resources to devote to particular projects or to allocate among program segments. Providing guidance in developing, implementing, evaluating, and improving processes/procedures to monitor the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of program segments. Conducting reviews/audits of processes and management control programs with regard to certification of auditability. Accomplishing complex analytical functions and project management activities directly affecting DLA Troop Support's business process controls. Communicating and interfacing with high-ranking internal/external personnel through meetings, briefings, and conferences to exchange information and develop solutions to a variety of problems. Creating, implementing, and monitoring Corrective Action Plans to improve internal processes. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
