Job summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER in the PROVOST MARSHAL OFFICE/MARINE CORPS POLICE DEPARTMENT of MARFORRES NOLA.
Major duties
You will plan and direct watch activities. You will prepare morning reports and watch schedules for the following day. You will monitor activities in the field and provide technical guidance/assistance/instruction to police officers, as required. You will inspect the overall physical security of areas, evaluates situations and conditions, identifies deficiencies, and recommends or takes appropriate corrective action. You will review incident reports for accuracy, annotate discrepancies and/or areas of concern, and return to the police officer for correction and/or clarification.
Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing law enforcement duties that deal with apprehension and detention of individuals in cases ranging from minor incidents to felonies; performing inspections and investigative work to effect compliance of individuals with laws, rules and regulations in the protection of life, property and the civil rights of citizens, preparing detailed reports and citations concerning all incidents and actions taken; providing advice, guidance and instruction to police officers and conducting roll call/guard mount. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. *CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED* Incumbent must pass the Police Applicant Suitability Review (PASR) investigation This position requires rotating shift work. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. As first responders to chemical/biological attacks must be able to train and wear personal protective equipment to include a mask, suit, boots, and gloves. Must maintain program height and weight appearance standards. Must meet medical standards for Police Officers in DoD 6055.05M and MNCPHC-TM OM 6260. Required to wear a uniform and maintain appearance and grooming standards per Marine Corps orders/policies. Must successfully complete the designated USMC Basic Police Officers Course (BPOC) and meet all certification requirements, to include weapons certifications, CPR, AED, DoD and Joint Training Regulations. If incumbent is conducting law enforcement operations is navigable waters, incumbent must attend the Inland Boat Operating Training Program at FLETC or a similar course. This position does not meet the definition of law enforcement officer (LEO and is excluded from coverage as LEO for purposes of the Federal Employment Retirement System Base Annuity lAW 5 CRF, Part 842, Subpart H May be required to respond to off base circumstances as directed by the installation commander in accordance with USMC and DoD policy. Incumbent must pass a sanctioned physical agility test and medical evaluation and pass periodic re-tests as required. Incumbent must pass all weapons qualifications prior to assigned duties and responsibilities and must pass all requalification's as required. Incumbent must carry a firearm.
