The primary purpose of this position, SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST, GG-0132-14 is to manage the planning, implementation, and execution of the Division's Acquisition Intelligence mission IAW the AFLCMC Intelligence Directorate's Strategic Plan and the Director's guidance.

Major duties

-Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Intelligence Division. -Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Oversee a team of 8 mixed AFSC personnel, including intel, Security, and IT professionals. -Serve as a subject matter expert on Intelligence issues. Represent the Intelligence Directorate in a variety of organizational, departmental, and functional forums and tasks. Advise on the status of intelligence resources and programs, trends, and issues associated with the provision of intelligence support to the acquisition enterprise. -Oversee intelligence functional management, intelligence operations, customer support services, and Special Security Office (SSO) activities. Responsible for management of Air Base Wing (ABW) intelligence support, Special Compartmented Information (SCI) programs, and the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS).

Qualification

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: providing intelligence support to the acquisition process and intelligence functional policy, guidance, and support acquisition programs. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles and missions, and interrelationships of the national IC, DoD, and USAF; acquisition policy and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a weapons system's life-cycle; roles and responsibilities of field intelligence offices in support of life-cycle management of USAF programs; across the Requirements, Acquisition, Nuclear, and Sustainment enterprises. 2. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information to produce detailed intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, identify intelligence deficiencies, and advocate for customer requirements. 3. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing intelligence requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients. 4. Skill in communicating clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, subordinates, contractors, academia, and other agencies to work out solutions to problems, prepare professional level documents and studies, and deliver General Officer (executive) level information and decision briefs. 5. Ability to plan, organize, manage, and direct division level functions including budgeting, SSO and IT/Comm support, workforce development; and supervise, mentor, motivate, appraise, set goals for and monitor performance of assigned staff. 6. Ability to quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and competing resources, based on mature judgment and experience, and present and/or defend a position effectively. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
