Job summary

You will serve as a SHIP PROGRESSMAN (GENERAL) in the Production Resources Workforce Division 900R, Production Resources Department 900 of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Major duties

You will be responsible for planning, controlling, and monitoring acquisition of production support equipment and materials for the department. You will be responsible for the procurement of supplies and equipment for the production department operations and activities, and services within allowances. You will perform inventories, establish and maintain records to track issue, location and turn-in of equipment. You will coordinate external and internal facility scheduling for the Department. You will provide cost estimates of damaged facilities and equipment, prepare correspondence and attend meetings as facilities representative. You will coordinate recommendations made are based on knowledge of current and proposed equipment modification, repair, and disposal programs. You will use schedules, work authorizations and production plans and specifications, determine key points of work requiring close coordination or follow-up. You will perform inspections, Coordinate Transfer of Custody process, Inventory Control and Maintenance, and Data Collection/Input in support of Production department activities and initiatives.
