You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command Headquarters (NAVSUP HQ) of CNSSC OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FIELD.

Major duties

You will administer NAVSUP HQ Operations Security (OPSEC) program consisting of HQ and enterprise OPSEC policy development and implementation; training, education and awareness; working group oversight; and OPSEC assessments. You will be responsible for developing Critical Information and Indicators List (CIL) for the Commander and disseminating the CIL to subordinate organizations. You will be responsible to administer the Information Security program to include the integration and oversight of the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) program. You will develop training materials, briefings, and other items to publicize the information security program and enhance compliance with regulatory requirements. You will research equipment purchases such as shredding equipment, storage containers, and authorized portable storage containers.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Security Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of the laws, policies, principles, regulations and procedures necessary for administering and implementing a DoD Operations Security program and Information Security program. Knowledge also must also demonstrate all areas of operations security and information security in order to identify and prevent violations or unauthorized disclosures, as well as, the ability to implement policies and procedures while reviewing, analyzing, and applying regulations to local situations. Specialized experience must demostrate; 1) Perform threat and vulnerability analysis; identify critical information; risk assessment and applying countermeasures; 2) Demonstrate expertise in classification management such as marking of classified and unclassified information; 3) Develops training materials, briefings, and other items to publicize the information security program and enhance compliance with regulatory requirements; 4) Coordinates with others regarding surveillance, security checks and response times to restricted areas or secured rooms to ensure regulatory compliance; and 5) Utilize security systems such as JPAS, DIUSS, NCCS or other related or equivalent systems.
