You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OA) in the NAVY INSTALLATIONS COMMAND of NAS KINGSVILLE SEC DET.
Major duties
You will maintain supply records and initiate the ordering of supplies for the organization. You will coordinate actions with transportation and other supply units in order to have supplies delivered in a timely manner. You will perform duties associated with the support for the Vehicle Control Program. You will assist and guide staff in the procedural work of the office and in the preparation of correspondence.
Qualification
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Using office automation software (e.g., word processing, database, spread sheet programs) to draft documents in accordance with outlined regulations and procedures; 2) Ordering of supplies based on current/projected needs; 3) Receiving visitors and/or screening phone calls to determine the nature of requests to direct callers to the appropriate person or office; 4) Providing documentation, reports and general information regarding a vehicle leasing program.
