About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Outdoor Recreations, Yokota AB, Japan. This is Flexible position, guaranteed 0-40 hours per week.
Major duties
Performance and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor pool and recreational facilities. Types of duties include but are not limited to the following: Greets customers in person and provides customer service representative, answers inquiries directly and over the telephone; sets up recreation areas for scheduled activities; records attendance; takes reservations and completes related sales transaction for payment for activities; notifies participants of schedule changes; checks the established safety system of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and areas, equipment; posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about scheduled activities; helps with group· activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks; and assists with related inventories and basic facility maintenance. Records and tracks related data in computers, preparing end-of-day reports. Transports daily reports and monies to central cashier and delivers and retrieves daily activity distribution. Maintains customer service, lobby, and exercise areas clean and free from clutter. Ensures information displays are fully stocked. Legal US residents must possess a social security number.Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and office automation software is required; however, no working experience is required. Must possess good communication and interpersonal relationship skills as well as telephone etiquette. Must be able to communicate with the public. Must be available to work an uncommon tour of duty, to include late nights, weekends and holidays. Use of uniforms is required. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
