Job summary

You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist in the Plans, Policies, and Operations (Security), Provost Marshall Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Major duties

You will conduct physical security surveys and crime prevention surveys. You will participate in facility construction and renovation meetings. You will be responsible for the daily support and maintenance of the installation Lost and Found Program. You will support physical security education training programs for Military Police and Law Enforcement personnel assigned to the installation. You will review all security requirement waivers and exemption requests from the installation and tenant commands.

Qualification

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining access control; 2) Inspecting, analyzing, and evaluating security systems; 3) Utilizing various security systems; and 4) Assisting with developing security program policies and procedures. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining access control; 2) Inspecting, analyzing, and evaluating security systems; and 3) Utilizing various security systems. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: For GS-09: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related For GS-07: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
