You will serve as a Office Automation Assistant in the College of Maritime and Operational Warfare of the NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.

Major duties

You will answer general inquiries to assist in administrative functions. You will assist with the preparation of course material in support of assigned courses. You will provide guidance and review travel authorizations/vouchers to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures. You will create documents (e.g., spreadsheets, reports) to provide written responses to requests for information and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors to type and format documents. You will formulate and recommend operating policies and procedures and implement changes to current operating practices.

Qualification

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Operating computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite or similar application to create, copy, edit, and print forms, memos, and letters; 2) Interpreting and providing metrics and/or generating reports; 3) Managing and tracking various actions in support of other administrative functions; 4) Coordinating travel through a web-based travel system according to regulations and providing travel support and; 5) Communicating effectively in writing and verbally while providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position. This position requires the ability to type at least 50 words per minute.
