About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Outdoor Recreation Facility on RAF Lakenheath, UK. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 0-40 per week with no minimum guaranteed per week. Applicants will be reviewed and referred every 10 days until the close of this announcement. Job announcement may close early if all positions are filled. .

Major duties

Operates and performs operator maintenance on one or more vehicles to include: passenger shuttle vans/cars and cargo vans with gross weight of more than 10,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds. Operates vehicle through all kinds of traffic, depending upon the type of vehicle being operated. Loads and unloads cargo by hand. Exercises caution in preventing overloading and in securing cargo to prevent damage or loss in transit and for the safety and comfort of passengers. Determines shortest and safest routes. Observes safety rules, regulations and posted traffic controls and highway guide signs. Cleans interior/exterior of vehicle to in-house standards after each use.
