Job summary
You will serve as a MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR in the TRANSPORTATION BRANCH (Code 533), WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS (Code 5301), MATERIAL DIVISION (Code 530), SUPPLY DEPARTMENT (Code 500), of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
Major duties
You will drive vehicles on specific trips or regularly established schedules/routes to transport material, equipment, and personnel within TRlREFFAC, to activities, and outside points over primary and secondary highways and poorly maintained roads. You will operate the above vehicles to transport the following TRIREFFAC and visiting personnel, tractors, small cranes, and other heavy equipment, industrial materials, hazardous materials, and other supplies/items as assigned. You will operate other lighter or heavier capacity vehicles and equipment than designated above as an incidental or occasional duty. You will perform auxiliary task aimed at ensuring efficiency of motor vehicle operations. You will hook and unhook trailer from tractors fifth wheel or pintle hook. You will lay out and segregate loads, and secure and fasten them properly using nylon straps, ropes, nets, chains, and binders in a safe manner. You will load and unload material and equipment, and occasionally directs laborers ln unloading materials. You will check material loaded and unloaded or delivered against records of various types to ensure against errors, and obtains signatures of receiving individuals when and where required. You will maintain trip record or log showing time of departure, sequence of stops, time of return, trip mileage, fuel and oil consumption, accidents, damages, or traffic violations. You will perform routine checks of motor vehicle to ensure safe operating conditions. You will make operational inspections of vehicles for loose or damaged parts, low tires, etc. You will check fuel supply, fluid levels, battery condition, and other general conditions such as windows, lenses, lights, horn, brakes. etc. You will report defects in vehicle operation or need of maintenance as noted during use to the Transportation Branch (Code 533) Supervisor. You will be required to maintain assigned work areas in a neat, clean, safe, and order[y manner. You will perform related duties including quality control coordination task required to ensure the quality of products/se1Vices resulting from work performed.
