Job summary
You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the FST Logistics Division of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Major duties
You will plan, manage, and execute logistics support consistent with established maintenance policy guidelines to achieve readiness, supportability, and affordability goals and objectives. You will develop supporting data and provide comprehensive logistics planning information, logistics plans, recommendations, alternatives, impact statements and performance criteria to Naval Air Systems Command program and acquisition managers. You will articulate and communicate to the logistics team the assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, program issues under review, and deadlines/time frames for completion. You will develop and prepare program ILS budgets and review estimates and budget submissions. You will conduct investigations and site visits to identify and resolve supportability problems and develop and recommend/implement corrective action plans to adjust operations to facilitate adequate logistics support based on findings. You will assess program documentation, system designs, and engine system interfaces for logistics considerations.
Qualification
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Integrated Logistics Support management principles, concepts, and methodology to a variety of difficult and complex ILS projects; 2) Recognizing the unique technological, manpower and other material resources requirements of the configuration and operation of aircraft, engines, and related subsystems and components. 3) Leading and coordinating the logistics program efforts of assigned RTCASS/ECASS logistics personnel within the organization. 4) Identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow and skill levels. 5) Developing supporting data and providing comprehensive logistics planning information, recommendations, alternatives, impact statements and performance criteria to Naval Air Systems Command staff, program, and acquisition managers.
