Job summary
This position is located at: Fort Campbell, KY. Privately Owned Firearms (POF) Range/ Range 16. This is a Regular Part Time position (20-39 hours per week) with eligibility for the NAF benefits package and leave accrual. Major duties
Executes range facility opening, closing, and operating procedures in accordance with installation, local, and federal laws. Maintains communications and follows instructions of the installation range control agency to ensure safe operations. Coordinates medical support through the installation range control agency. Instructs patrons on range safety practices, and provides general firearm and marksmanship information. Responsible for all safety issues in the operation of the range. Ensures proper handling storage, accountability, inventory of ammunition, and vault security. Issues ammunition and range related accessories to customers, checks ID, and collects fees. Checks inventory and supplies, and requests restock. May perform cashier duties and maintain records of sales. Conducts facility and range maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Prior experience with firing range operations, skeet and trap and firearm safety, and firearms instruction. Must possess basic knowledge of National SkeetShooting Association (NSSA) rules and scoring. Knowledge of and ability to use a computer and cash register. Possess good customer service skills and have experience working with the general public. Must be able to obtain current instructor-level certification in (at minimum) basic shotgun shooting, and range safety officer, from a recognized national governing body (e.g. NSSA, NRA, NSCA, NACFI, etc.) within 60 days of entrance on duty. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possesses experience in range operations, execution, weapons handling and maintenance. Possesses knowledge and/or experience with skeet games and archery. Possesses basic knowledge of the National Rifle League, and safety regulations for marksmanship. **Applicants that meet the highly preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first.
