Job summary

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command, Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for plans and carrying out assignments independently; conceives and defines solutions to highly complex problems; analyzes, interprets, and reports findings of projects; and guides technical and programmatic work of team members in comparable junior grades.

Major duties

This position is being filled under AcqDemo Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for non-acquisition positions involving 51% or more of time in direct support of acquisition positions within Business and Technical Management Professional Career path. The position(s) covered by this vacancy announcement is in the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). For more information please see: AcqDemo As a IT SPECIALIST (ENTARCH) at the NH-2210-3 some of your typical work assignments may include: Acts as a USTRANSCOM enterprise technical expert to oversee cloud-based technical, systems, and security requirements, objectives, specifications, and products. Facilitates, coordinates, and integrates the development and evolution of the Command's Cyber Strategy and Architecture that promote interoperability and supportability. Devises technical strategies, procedures, evaluation criteria, and policies to synchronize and align infrastructure and security related architecture activities. Provides technical guidance and evaluates milestones for feasibility, technical integration, and interoperability of systems and subsystems. Ensures cloud-sourced information security products and services are delivered to the government to meet or exceed statutory and regulatory require.

Qualification

You may qualify at the NH 3 , if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-2 (GS-11) grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Reviews, analyzes, and recommends emerging technologies to meet mission objectives Drafts, develops, and implements plans and procedures based on data-driven metrics Migrating to and operating / managing applications in a cloud environment Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. In addition to meeting qualifications, your application package must reflect the applicable experience to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 2210, series as listed below: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
