Job summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain DoD Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Major duties

Plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. Plan, organize, and execute field maintenance of wheeled and light tracked vehicles, self-propelled artillery systems, and fire control, armament, ground support, and powered driven chemical equipment. Develop performance standards, counsel’s employees on performance, and makes formal and informal performance appraisals. Ensure that subordinates are adequately informed of their responsibilities concerning hazardous materials/waste with the work area.

Qualification

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to Lead or Supervise as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Repairer Supervisor ~ without more than normal supervision. Resumes will be reviewed for experience and/or training which provided skills and knowledge of the following: Perform repairer duties such as cleaning, repairing, reinstalling or replacing defective parts or components and systems on artillery and heavy mobile and track equipment; determine parts required by review of technical and supply manuals; performs operational inspection and ensure vehicles and equipment are properly serviced. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
