This position is located at DLA Columbus in Whitehall, Ohio.. Major duties

Provides technical financial, budget and/or accounting support by accumulating, processing, compilation and consolidation of financial data in support of IMWRF analysts. Participates in internal control inspections on a random, periodic basis. Assists with the conduct of review and analysis of operating programs, ensuring conformance with policy and resource utilization; participates in surprise cash count visits and sampling of methods and procedures. Manages payroll processes. Identifies problems with document flow, e.g. daily activity reports, petty cash, transfer between accounts, etc. Assists in the analysis/evaluation of findings, determining corrective or improvement actions needed. Manages timekeeping processes. Provides assistance with formal reports for submission to Division Chiefs, recommending changes to procedures and practices covering all functional areas, identifying requirements for additional training and/or changes in resource utilization. Assists Information Management Specialists with defining and correcting problems or identifying needs of user representatives who work with various NAF Information Management Systems. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have semi-independent work experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Ability to organize and communicate through written correspondence and oral communication. Working knowledge of principles, practices and methods of budget formulation. Ability to type and operate a personal computer. Knowledge of operation and functions of personal computers to provide problem solving resolution and service to users Highly desirable: Knowledge of Non-appropriated Fund practices, regulations, and guidance materials and NAF Small Purchases. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess at least one (1) year knowledge of Non-appropriated Fund practices, regulations, and guidance materials and NAF Small Purchases.
