Job summary
You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMPTROLLER DEPT of NAVAL ACADEMY.
Major duties
You will prepare budget estimates and analyses of financial and performance data on a periodic basis. You will provide recommendations to supervisors and managers on programmatic and funds changes. You will assist in the preparation of data call responses for internal and external stakeholders. You will monitor funds execution in various financial information system.
Qualification
GS 11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following 1) Identifying, analyzing, and resolving a range of budgetary problems in order to develop alternative methods of funding; 2) Formulating budget estimates for programs where funding requirements have changed significantly; 3) Interpreting historical financial data in order to determine appropriate course of action; and 4) Completing reports via Microsoft Excel and various financial management systems of particularly complex formulas and pivot tables to outline inventory status updates, discrepancies, and resolution status. GS 09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following 1) Assisting in the development of budgets and estimates that support ongoing plans, programs, and activities; 2) Reviewing budgetary and financial documentation for accuracy; 3) Establishing and maintaining accountable property and financial records; and 4) Maintaining monthly records for audit purposes utilizing Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.
