Job summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties

You will test, calibrate, tune, repair, and perform maintenance necessary for efficiency of all thermal plants. You will operate engineering workstation computer and human machine interfaces for the purpose of tuning and troubleshooting boiler controls. You will test and calibrate flow meters, gauges, transmitters and recorders. You will troubleshoot system malfunctions and make necessary repairs. You will work closely with plant engineers and supervisors, calculating and adjusting boiler controls to improve efficiency.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Reading and understanding control logic drawings, ladder diagrams, blueprints, electrical/electronic schematic diagrams, wire circuit drawings, and OEM drawings and specifications. 2) Operating EWS (engineering workstation) computer and human machine interfaces for the purpose of troubleshooting boiler controls. 3) Calibrating and replacing as necessary Programmable Logic Controllers for the demineralizer water plants and distributed control system components for the boiler and plant systems controls.4) Conducting regular inspections of flow meter recording, integrated flows, pressures, temperatures, levels, and analyzer readings (gas and water). 5)Tuning control loops (proportional, integral, and derivative) for automatic operation.
