This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the modified DoD Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties

You will conduct instruction and facilitation for the Center of Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CFE-DM). You will conduct research, develop presentation material and instructor notes to enhance instruction. You will draft requests for external funding and document supported events in database systems. You will analyze lessons to assure propriety for teaching concepts, references, instructional methods and media, training aids and equipment. You will design and develop, research, and archive course materials to establish, improve, update, and modify content of assigned activities.

Qualification

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Preparing, planning, organizing, and conducting instruction and facilitation for the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CFE-DM) training and engagement activities; 2) Participating in committees/groups to share knowledge of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief best practices; 3) Providing subject matter expertise in the development and facilitation of DMHA training, education, and information sharing; 4) Coordinating directorates for operations, policy, logistics, and others as required to ensure the Center's plans and activities are consistent with plans and program priorities. GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Preparing, planning, organizing, and conducting instruction and facilitation for the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CFE-DM) training and engagement activities; 2) Conducting research, developing presentation materials and instructor notes to enhance instruction; 3) Analyzing lessons to assure propriety concepts, references, instructional methods and media, training aids and equipment, and times estimates/requirements; 4) Designing and developing, researching, and archiving material to establish, improve, update, and modify content; 5) Providing subject matter expertise in the development and facilitation of Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (DMHA) training, education, and information sharing. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
