Job summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties

You will install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems You will disassemble components/systems and determine the required repairs on aircrafts. You will correct problems by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts, e.g., bad actuators, corroded fuel lines, etc You will inspect engine for fuel, oil, and hot air leaks during engine run. You will conduct pressure and obstruction tests of fuel systems and check pneudraulic/hydraulic systems after repair on aircraft.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element is: 1) A comprehensive understanding of aircraft and helicopters, coupled with the ability to apply mathematical formulas related to weight and balance; 2) Ability to assist Squadron Weight & Balance Officers in resolving any weight and balance concerns that may impact mission requirements; 3) Strong communication skills; and 4) The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions.
