Overview
The selected candidate will be the Waste Compliance Lead responsible for ensuring the Quonset Point Facility is complying with all RCRA and local waste regulations. This individual will interface routinely with other members in the department, operations personnel and different levels of management. Candidate will be expected to possess and/or develop a workingknowledge of State and Federal environmental regulations and how these regulations are applied in an industrial facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring compliance with the RCRA regulations.
- Preparation of comprehensive state and/or federal reports.
- Database management utilizing Microsoft Access and other software.
- Detailed review and oversight of record-keepingrequirements.
- Review of new and proposed processes and equipment generating waste.
- Daily interface with Operations, Management, the customer and regulatory. personnel is critical to ensuring the success of the compliance program and the effective resolution to problems.
- Provide general support and assistance to fellow engineers.
Responsibilities

Ability to complete work accurately attention to detail is essential
Team attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members and other organizations
- Highly motivated and requires little supervision
- Self-starter and possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Chemistry
- 5+ years of environmental engineering experience
- Working knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA)
Preferred:
- Waste compliance experience
