Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) VC-25B program is seeking a Certification Engineer (Experienced and Senior) to integrate unique and ground-breaking compliance activities for the airplanes that will become the Next Air Force One.

This is an exciting opportunity located in San Antonio, TX to help develop and lead certification processes that utilize FAA and Military methods and apply them on one of the most impressive platforms in the world.

Primary Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services.
  • Review complex regulatory and customer requirements and evaluate impact to company products and services.
  • Lead analysis of regulatory and certification technical data for completeness and alignment to applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Lead development of a compliance statement for the airworthiness of aerospace systems and products.
  • Engage with regulators on complex programs or initiatives to shape certification strategies, approaches, activities, and artifacts.
  • Partner with regulatory authorities to complete validation of airworthiness to applicable requirements as authorized.
  • Develop, review, and maintain complex compliance reports and documents in accordance with applicable requirements and regulations.
  • Lead establishing and promoting global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, TX.

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.   

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement    
  • 5 or more years of related experience in Commercial and/or Military aircraft certification.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Military-Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA) and/or other Aircraft Modification projects.
  • Experience coordinating and negotiating with aviation regulators.
  • Experience working with integrated requirements database tools, especially IBM DOORS.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing compliance documents.

Summary Pay Range: Experienced $107,100 – 144,900

Summary pay range: Senior $131,750 – 178,250
