Position Summary

The Targeting Analyst and Planner provides Operational Intelligence (OI) services and targeting support that enhances situational awareness, enables rapid decision-making, improves current and long-term IO/IW planning, and synchronizes IO with mission partners. The role delivers Intelligence Support for Information Operations (ISIO) and Sensitive Activities (SA) targeting support, coordinating and tracking intelligence requirements across IRCs and ensuring feedback loops between collection, targeting, and IO/IW operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide ISIO and sensitive activities targeting technical expertise supporting USFK OAIs
  • Facilitate deconfliction supporting intelligence gain/loss considerations and political/military assessments
  • Support development of intelligence inputs to command collection plans enabling planning, execution, and feedback for measures of performance/effectiveness
  • Coordinate, consolidate, submit, track, and manage intelligence requirements across IRCs
  • Participate in development of targeting activities to align collections, capabilities, prioritization, and feedback to IW/IO activities
  • Produce analytical products supporting IO/IW planning for supported USFK J3 divisions; deliver required intelligence reports/products
  • Support quantitative/qualitative analysis and assessment research reinforcing baseline establishment and IO/IW and sensitive activities assessment

  • Competition intelligence synchronization: timely intelligence requirements management and analytic products improving IO/IW planning and partner synchronization
  • Crisis action targeting support: rapid deconfliction, collection alignment, and targeting inputs enabling faster, better-informed decisions

Qualifications



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in all-source analysis, operational intelligence support, targeting support, or information operations intelligence support
  • Demonstrated experience drafting analytical products and coordinating intelligence requirements and collection-support activities
  • Ability to work in dynamic operational planning environments (competition through contingency response)
  • Ability to operate effectively in a security-conscious environment and comply with all training/access requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting joint targeting processes specifically for IO/IW, ISIO, and sensitive activities targeting
  • Experience building measures of performance/measures of effectiveness feedback loops tied to collection plans and assessments
  • Experience integrating intelligence support into campaign planning and OIE-focused execution
