Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 2/3 to support the Systems Engineering team located in Chandler, AZ. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the development, decomposition, refinement and documentation of key requirements and capabilities. 

  • Responsible for supporting overall System-level end to end performance assessments of the system and identifying and leading the resolution of systems performance gaps relative to stakeholder requirements. 

  • Collaboration with senior systems engineers and other disciplines to support the development of deliverables 

  • The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing demands. 

  • The candidate should possess strong technical problem solving, written and verbal communication skills to generate and document system level requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments and participate in system level verification/data review activities. 

  • Manages requirement changes in the Requirements Management databases working effectively with IPT leaders and team members. 

  • Should possess a strong resolve to drive tasks to completion autonomously. 

  • Creates and manages both original and revised specification/interface definition documents and coordinates document approval through peer review and signature process. 

  • Support risk management (identifies potential risk). 

  • Manages aspects of system design, analyses, interface verification, testing, minor failure/anomaly resolution or mission operations. 

  • Participates in the creation of and manages changes to system or subsystem analytical models. 

  • Should be knowledgeable about agile principles and have demonstrated the ability to facilitate an agile development process 

  • Candidate will support the development and execution of technical reviews for the program. 

This position may be filled for Level 2 or 3 

Salary level 2 $79,300 - $118,900 

Salary level 3 98,400 - 147,600 

Basic Qualifications Level 2: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of professional experience or Master’s Degree with 0 years of professional experience 

  • U.S. citizenship 

  • Interim or Active U.S. Government Secret Security clearance required 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in team environments.  

Basic Qualifications Level 3: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of professional experience or Master’s Degree with 3 years of professional experience. 

  • U.S. citizenship 

  • Interim or Active U.S Government Secret Security clearance required 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in team environments.  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBSE experience (Cameo or similar) 

  • Experience developing content for and/or presenting at program milestone reviews 

  • Systems engineering product development for booster systems

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
