We at Northrop Grumman Missions Systems are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer for Integration & Test in Woodland Hills, CA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying unique requirements from a broad customer base, flowing the requirements into design documentation, and working with a diverse team to build and test those requirements.

  • Work on the capabilities of current products, performance analyses, design information, and requirements verification methods.

  • Ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation.

  • Generate, review, and manage multiple requirements sets that cover all aspects of both performance and nonperformance including mechanical interfaces, electrical interfaces, data requirements, environmental requirements, and reliability.

  • Awareness and responsiveness to contract milestones and deliverables.

  • Work with an Agile team to ensure the designs are sufficient to meet the system requirements.

  • Work with various Agile teams to ensure all requirements are verified through inspection, analysis, demonstration, or test often by providing test and data reduction scripts.

  • Facilitate test directions to ensure production tests and troubleshooting tests are executed correctly and resulting data conforms to requirements.

  • Develop simulation models for sensors and systems.

Basic Qualifications for Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 2+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Science degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

  • Experience in System Engineering activities such as:

    • Software requirements development

    • Requirements development

    • Test Case development

    • Verification and Validation i.e. experience running tests and documenting results

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance is required.

  • Ability to work onsite full-time at Woodland Hills, CA

Preferred Qualifications for Systems Engineer:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Experience supporting test investigations and debugging efforts

  • Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and technical baseline management

  • Experience with working in an engineering Agile team

  • Experience with JIRA

  • Systems Engineering experience on large, complex systems

  • Lab and system integration experience

  • Excellent time management, organizational skills

  • Understanding and experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and Cameo modeling (or equivalent)

  • Experience with ClearQuest / ClearCase

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
