THE WORK
As a Senior System Engineer-IT, you will:
• Duties primarily focused on Linux/Unix administration, but also include Windows system administration and Network Engineering/administration for classified systems.
Typical duties:
• Managing Linux systems backups; configuration management services; system patching; network and system monitoring; system diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair; tech refresh and upgrades; technical meetings; maintaining, configuring, and updating baseline configurations per Risk Management Framework requirements.
• Maintain and conduct user management within both Linux and Windows environments.
• Support system and network infrastructure upgrades and reconfiguration projects
• Support lead System Engineer

Basic Qualifications:
• Linux/UNIX experience in small to medium development environments
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Security Clearance
• Familiarity with configuring and administering VMs (Virtualization) within VMWare/Microsoft Hyper-V
• Shell scripting experience
• Demonstrated system administrator experience, including administration and configuration of STIG security policies for Windows servers and workstations
• Demonstrated skills and abilities to manage a lab environment including the maintenance and upkeep of hardware and the installation and/or upgrading of system software
• Understand modern networking concepts and technologies
Desired Skills:
• DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, etc.)
• System administration experience, including administration and configuration of STIG security policies for Linux/Unix servers and workstations
• Familiarity with configuring VMs (Virtual Machine)
• Practical experience in the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise classified network computing infrastructure including but not limited to: Ethernet switches, routers, firewalls, IPS/IDS, and physical switching systems
• Experience in the application of STIG settings to network computing infrastructure
• Be self-motivated, responsible and accountable, highly reliable, and focused on mission success
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
