Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist to support the Supplier Quality Regional Operations Midwest team based in Davenport, Iowa. 

This position is considered hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to reside in the listed location and perform work from home office as well as onsite at assigned suppliers in and out of the immediate area.  Assignments are at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Supplier Quality Specialists.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads audits and assessments of complex supplier's systems, processes and products

  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results

  • Delegates product acceptance responsibility to suppliers

  • Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work

  • Mentors suppliers on quality system, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives

  • Develops training and other resources to improve supplier performance and productivity

Basic Qualifications:

  • Capable of traveling up to 75% of the time

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • 3+ years of experience with conducting/leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Audits

  • 3+ years of experience with conducting Quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 4 - 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Currently hold or have previously held an FAA ODA Unit Member or Administrator appointment, currently or previously held an FAA Designee appointment, or are able to readily obtain appointment

  • Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite

  • 5+ years of experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills

  • 3+ years of experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams

  • Knowledge of quality tools and processes such as Advanced Product Quality Planning

  • Experience working to industry specifications (i.e. AS9100 and AS9102, AS9145 and others)

Summary pay range (Level 3): $99,450 - $134,550

Summary pay range (Level 4): $121,550 - $164,450
