Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B)

is looking for a Structural Analysis Engineering Manager(Level K) for the Bombers programs located in Oklahoma City, OK.

As a Structures Analysis Engineering Manager you will have the responsibility for providing leadership and integration within structures analysis engineering team, and supporting stakeholders including but not limited to Structures, Airplane Systems, and Air Vehicle Engineering. The leader will partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful execution on the structures analysis statement of work. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a highly skilled analysis team that spans across multiple Air Vehicle disciplines.

Position Responsibilities:

·        Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.

·        Develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives in accordance with MS&B and BDS business goals and objectives.

·        Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

·        Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

·        Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

·        Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

·        Work closely with other engineering managers and program managers to identify staffing requirements and execute hiring process to meet demand.

·        Identify training requirements and assure opportunities are available to support the team’s development.

·        Partner with local and enterprise wide design centers to develop staffing strategies for successful program execution.

·        Coordinate intra-Design Center work assignments, including coordination with other Design Centers and international partners (e.g. Boeing Poland), for appropriate skills.

·        Responsible for the performance management and evaluation of direct reports including 1:1 coaching, employee development and ensuring technical proficiency.

·        Leverage diversity and inclusion to drive greater innovation and stronger technical solutions.

·        Meet commitments, and drive quality, efficiency and affordability.

·        Mentor and coach all levels of engineers providing knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next generation of leaders and engineers.

This position is 100% on-site in Oklahoma City, OK.  This position has occasional travel for approximately 10% of time.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited engineering course of study
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering related role.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams.
  • Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • 10+ years of full-time aerospace industry experience within Mechanical, Structural, Payloads, Design or Analysis engineering.
  • Experience using Boeing Common Non-Recurring Product Development (C-NRPD).
  • Experience in Model Based Engineering.
  • Experience in talent development and talent acquisition.

Summary pay range: $128,350 – 173,650
