The Standard Work & Change Management Specialist supports business and commercial Sales operations with focus on Standard work and Process Change management. This includes ownership of tactical activities in various operational areas such as management of standard work library, mapping standard work dependencies, Order forecasting, analytics, implementation project management, process improvement, cross-functional collaboration and training. This role is well-suited for someone who can operate effectively in a matrixed environment, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, and translate business needs into structured processes and operational outcomes.
This position will help drive business rhythm activities, maintain key operating mechanisms, support order forecast accuracy, lead or support CRM/process transformation efforts, and identify opportunities to improve execution where standard processes do not yet exist. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing strategic coordination and hands-on operational detail, with strong communication, analytics, and change management skills.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own maintenance of Standard work library and maintain it up to date with the latest version of documentation. Establish rhythm and standards for periodic reviews and updates
  • Owns Change management standard work that incorporates interdependence between DJIs across the Capture process. Create an intake process for change requests as well as an approval process for changes with stakeholder buyoff.
  • Owns Deal Factory Process Communications: facilitates monthly newsletters as well as change management communications.
  • Executes monthly status reports related to orders, cash, and T&L.
    • Facilitates engagement with Regional Capture leaders to maintain orders and cash forecasts in partnership with capture and contracts teams. Owns standard work for this process to feed monthly DES MORs.
    • Run monthly T&L reporting and forecast in collaboration with accountable leaders in the org.
  • Maintain leadership operating mechanisms, including MOR Bowler content, and ensure materials are complete and ready in advance of operating reviews.
  • Organize pre-work and supporting inputs for executive-level reviews and decision-making.
  • Support CRM strategy and roadmap projects in support of SFDC consolidation and business transformation efforts.
  • Partner with functional teams to develop standard practices that can be implemented into digital solutions. 1.
  • Facilitate collaboration with Process SME function as well as Leadership buyoff in support of unified future-state process improvements across businesses.
  • Execute required business process changes and change management activities to operationalize future-state processes, while monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Manage projects across a broad matrix organization and balance multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Ability to prioritize information for decision making. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • A job at this level requires strong interpersonal skills. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development operations, Continuous improvement, operational excellence or related field.
  • Ability to travel 10% of time
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens.  GE will require proof of status.
  • Strong analytics capability, including comfort working with KPIs, forecasts, and operational data using Microsoft tools (Excel & PowerPoint)

Desired Characteristics

  • Project management experience, especially in cross-functional or matrixed environments.
  • Experience in a business development, sales operations, contracts, or commercial support environment.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and lead through collaboration.
  • Proven success managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Ability to support change management and help teams adopt improved processes and tools.
  • Experience building structure where needed, including defining and implementing business processes to close operational gaps.
  • Exposure to or understanding of FLIGHT DECK activation, lean thinking, and continuous improvement methods is beneficial.
