Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for the Chief Engineer position for the Common Mission Control Center (CMCC) program. This position supports a geographically diverse team and can be located in Rancho Bernardo, El Segundo, or Melbourne.
CMCC is physically based out of Beale AFB, California. Its purpose is to provide multi-domain battle management command and control of manned and unmanned assets in the highly contested environment (HCE). CMCC interoperate with Air and Space Operations Centers, Distributed Common Ground System, flying squadrons and joint forces to expose ISR & strike platforms through all F2T2EA phases using a Common Operating Picture (COP) that transmits to users at multiple classification levels.
CMCC is a service-oriented architecture-based system and incorporates software and capabilities from multiple vendors. It leverages open architecture (OA) principles and the universal command and control interface (UCI) standard as the communication framework between software components and external interfaces.
NG currently provides CMCC supporting hardware and software services, platform situational awareness and product dissemination, and tactical space-to-air effects. A successful Chief Engineer candidate will have awareness of larger NG capabilities and be able to build and maintain relationships with the NG Family of Systems.
