Sr. Specialist, Cyber Intelligence

L3Harris is seeking a Senior Specialist, Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) / Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to support programs for Space and Mission Systems in Hanover, MD. This position is responsible for supporting the implementation, administration, and oversight of security requirements for classified programs and operations in accordance with corporate policies and U.S. Government/customer directives.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide on-site ISSO support for classified systems, including account management, compliance activities, auditing, and secure system operations.
  • Support the FSO/Security Manager as the Alternate in administering and maintaining the facility security program for classified operations within Seabed Systems.
  • Troubleshoot Windows operating system and application issues to minimize downtime and support secure operations.
  • Manage and configure Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in support of security and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and support Microsoft BitLocker encryption.
  • Conduct system log analysis for diagnostics, audit support, and security review.
  • Perform user account management and access control in accordance with approved security policies and least-privilege principles.
  • Support vulnerability scanning and analysis, including identifying, assessing, and assisting with remediation of security risks.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage software license inventories, track expiration dates, and coordinate renewals with appropriate stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior security, information systems security, industrial security, or related experience; or Graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior security, information systems security, industrial security, or related experience; or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Strong expertise in Windows operating systems administration within a secure or regulated environment.
  • Experience applying patches, antivirus updates, and system hardening measures i.e troubleshooting system and application issues in support of secure operations.
  • Experience managing user accounts, access controls, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft BitLocker encryption, conducting system log analysis and supporting audit or security review activities.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and analysis, including identification, assessment, and remediation support of security risks.
  • Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and SOPs.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience serving as an ISSO in classified environments.
  • Experience serving as an AFSO, CPSO, CPSO Alternate, or in a similar classified security role.
  • Experience supporting SCI and SAP security requirements.
  • Familiarity with SCIF administration, classified area management, and customer inspections.
  • Experience with classified document accountability, media control, and secure material destruction procedures.
  • Experience with system auditing, vulnerability assessment, remediation tracking, and security compliance reviews.
  • Relevant security, industrial security, or cybersecurity certifications are highly desirable.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $116,000 MIN - $172,000 MAX. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $116,000 MIN - $172,000 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
