We are looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer based out of Elkridge, MD. As a Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Integrating, troubleshooting, and testing RF sensor systems
  • Supporting integration / lab environment development and establishment
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware teams to understand expected unit level and system level behavior to define test cases, and ensure testing is producing expected data points.
  • Define & develop test capabilities that exercise and stress respective software and hardware capabilities.
  • Support the development and maintenance of system integration plans and system test plans.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 8 years of experience; or 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree; or 4 years of experience with STEM PhD degree.
    • An additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Experience with RF lab test equipment: signal generator, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving HW/SW/FW integration problems
  • Experience with test scripting, data analysis, and/or signal processing
  • Knowledge of RF systems and hardware
  • Clearance: Candidate must be a US citizen and currently have, and be able to maintain an active/current U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Systems Engineering concepts, including requirements analysis and verification planning and execution
  • Multi-disciplinary engineering experience and exposure (Software/Digital, Hardware, Electrical, Systems) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally
  • Knowledge and experience with ground radars and AESA radar development, design, test
  • Master’s degree in STEM or technical leadership
  • Experience supporting USMC and/or USAF customer
  • Ability to qualify for program access based on customer requirements (SAP/SAR)
