Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Integration and Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Aurora, CO. The ideal candidate will have experience in systems engineering principles, including system integration, verification, validation, and supportability analyses. This role involves converting customer requirements into system solutions while effectively managing technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The team is focused on integrating development efforts into the test environment and integrating the changes with the other services. The successful candidate will support system integration efforts, develop test plans and procedures, and perform hardware and software verification activities.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for end-to-end systems.
  • Ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into comprehensive system solutions.
  • Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate customer needs into hardware and software specifications.
  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and reports, including functional testing and checkout.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot anomalous behavior in hardware and software systems.
  • Integrating 3rd party software with the in-house development software
  • Perform Information Assurance activities, such as Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) application, executing and analyzing scans.
  • Utilize and manage tools such as Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word), and docker-based software installations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Must be capable of determining how best to integrate and test software changes in a complex system of services to include mapping requirements to test procedures. 
  • Must understand Agile processes and scrum. 
  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with current Full-Scope Polygraph at time of application

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of basic docker concepts
  • Proficient in Kubernetes: ability to debug services that run in cluster through command line and/or rancher
  • Experience with deploying services via Helm
  • Experience with deploying services via Helmfile
  • Proficient with using Git for source code management
  • ability to debug and problem solve when things don’t work out of the box
  • Experience working in a cross-functional agile team
  • Experience building and maintaining configuration management documentation
  • Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing
  • Key Skills for Writing Test Procedure Documentation
  • Good Customer interaction and presentation skills
  • Ability to be the managerial/lead backup
