General Profile

  • Provides leadership and direction through managers

  • Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment


Essential Functions

  • Directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives.
  • Recommends and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers.
  • Develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes.
  • Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations.
  • Drives collaboration with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.


    • Required Qualifications

      • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 10-12 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
      • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


      Preferred Qualifications

      • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
      • Discipline/Major: Business or related degree preferred
      • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Leadership Skills. Business Development. Campaign Management. Competitor Analysis. Customer Engagement. Lead Generation. Lead Management. Marketing Analytics. Marketing Strategy. Relationship Marketing. Tactical Planning. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.


      Physical Requirements

      • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
      • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
