This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.

Position Responsibilities:

Track and audit both Spirit Defense programs and Supplier's to Defense Programs Government/Customer Furnished Property Inventory per the Government requirements FAR 52.245-1, Government Property.Government Property includes Tooling, Special Tooling, Equipment, and Materials

  • Develop new and/or improve current published training sessions
  • Creation and updating published POL/PROs in Business Writings to the Federal Regulations
  • Track and report physical locations of Government Property for all Defense Programs
  • Regularly interacting/communicating with Spirit Suppliers and Spirit Defense Programs who have possession of Government Property 
  • Responsible for ensuring Spirit Defense maintains an audit-ready position at all times
  • Participate in internal and external audits or assessments, as a resource to matters relating to Government Property USG regulations, and compliance auditing processes
  • Ensure Programs and Suppliers perform Government Property surveys on time yearly
  • Ability to work and interface with diverse levels of Internal/External Customers & Government Personnel Regularly contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards within Spirit Defense Compliance particularly to Government Property
  • Be part of a team of compliance individuals focused on maintaining and enhancing not only Spirit Defense’s Government Property business system, but the other business systems within the Spirit Defense organization
  • Ad hoc requests

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3-5 Years of Experience with Procurement and Inventory Management 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Successful candidates must be able to secure Program Access approval 
  • Skill in making presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders and with all levels of the organization
  • Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong computer skills preferred
  • Detail oriented 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • An active DoD Security Clearance
  • Experience interacting with Suppliers
  • Associates degree or higher 
  • Knowledge of SAP 
  • Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (fka Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA))

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range: $71,750.00 - $110,000.00

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
