Job Description

L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Senior Specialist – Mission Systems to join our Greenville, TX team. This position is responsible for Requirements, Development Support, and Integration of Operator Workstation capabilities multiple platforms and programs. Responsible for issue investigation and resolution. Responsible for submitting Bid and proposals. Responsible for documenting status and issues in Jira/Confluence.

Essential Functions:

  • Systems or Software Engineering experience as a Subject Matter Expert working with Operator Interfaces.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with ability to write capability/product requirement specifications.
  • Will work with customer, system engineers and system architects to develop requirements.
  • Will test and troubleshoot Operator Interfaces on various platforms and programs.
  • Will engage with software developers to explain requirements and use cases when needed.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI to be Considered

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior systems/software engineering experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum 2 years of prior systems/software engineering experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum 8 years of prior systems/software engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with internal/external stakeholders, up to and including customer and/or executives.
  • Demonstrated experience working through an entire build cycle.
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems engineering life cycle.
  • CompTIA Security+ (current or able to obtain within within 12 months of start date).

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with IBM DOORS Requirements Management Tool.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence and the Agile process.
  • Hands-on experience with RC-135 Operator Interfaces.
  • Current Security+ Certification.
