L3Harris Technologies is looking for an experienced Field Engineer to join our team in supporting the Array Group Driver (AGD) Integration & Test program.  This position supports the AGD program’s Upgraded Early Warning Radary (UEWR) Sites located in Alaska, Greenland, and England. This will require travel to sites up to a total of 50% of the year.  The Field Engineer responsibilities will include assembly, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and test of system equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform Site Survey trips to UEWR sites as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex field service issues innovatively, making moderate enhancements or improvements to systems as required.
  • Lead or support execution of depot-level maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to approved procedures, schedules, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and program management teams to resolve technical issues, implement corrective actions, and support root cause investigations.
  • Support Technical Order (TO) development, including redline development based on field execution and lessons learned.
  • Maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment as detailed in L3Harris Technologies policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high ethical and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety requirements, configuration control, export compliance, and operational procedures during all field activities.
  • Must be physically able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, move auxiliary equipment on casters, lift and carry heavy parts and sub-assemblies (40lbs), and be able to perform the above duties indoors and outdoors during inclement weather.

Qualifications:

  • Active SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Previous experience relevant to Field Engineering, that includes troubleshooting and maintenance in accordance with engineering drawings.
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time (CONUS and OCONUS).
  • Must have a US Passport.
  • Able to lift to 40lb weights.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting radar systems.
  • Experience with electircal, mechanical and plumbing.
  • Experince assembly and installation of rack equipment, and installation of wiring IAW wiring diagrams.
  • Experince with OCONUS travel.
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working in multi-organization environments with government, contractor, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Possess good decision-making ability and time management skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $67,000-$124,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
