Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Infrastrastructure Systems Engineer (CISE) to join our Colorado Springs, CO team. The ideal candidate will have system administration expertise in managing and optimizing Windows and Linux systems, as well as virtual infrastructures. This role requires a hands-on professional with a robust understanding of security and risk management, system monitoring, and network protocols. The candidate must have a proven track record of designing and implementing solutions that comply with security policies, maintaining a secure and resilient IT environment.

Essential Functions: 

  • Configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Linux systems (both physical and virtual).
  • Manage and maintain Windows systems to ensure their optimal performance and reliability.
  • Utilize virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMware, vSphere/vCenter, and microservices/containers (e.g., OpenShift, Docker) to enhance system functionality and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain security controls in compliance with DoD security frameworks and RMF requirements, integrating RMF principles into ground-up builds and ongoing security administration.
  • Hands-on ACAS experience, including building and configuring ACAS virtual machines, performing vulnerability scans, analyzing results, and supporting remediation activities.
  • Ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of server systems and network infrastructure to support business continuity and performance.
  • Possess a strong understanding of network protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and SNMP to manage and optimize network performance.
  • Monitor system performance and resource usage, identify potential problems, and implement solutions to maintain system resilience and security.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Secret Clearance
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 Required Professional Certifications: CCNA-Security, Security+ CE, or higher certification.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Current Linux Certifications such as RedHat Certification (RHCSA or RHCE) or CompTIA Linux+.
  • Experience working with continuous integration, build management, and automated test frameworks.
  • Experience integrating and administering cross-domain systems.
  • Experience utilizing virtualization technologies and backup solutions.
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $92,500 - $171,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New  York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $80,500 - $149,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to  experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining  agreements.
